Halifax, N.S. (June 24, 2014) – Lion & Bright Café Wine Bar is teaming up with Devour! The Food Film Fest to host an entertaining spin on “dinner and a movie” on Sunday, July 20. The evening will incorporate themed food and drinks with film to create a fun, joyous experience for all.
The evening will kick off at 7:00 p.m. with a featured screening of the classic hit, The Big Lebowski at Lion & Bright, located on 2534 Agricola Street in Halifax. Jeff Bridges stars as Jeff “The Dude” Lebowski in this cult favourite created by The Coen Brothers.
Throughout the screening, Lion & Bright will supply guests with bowling alley themed snacks. The menu, inspired by the movie, includes: Green Toe Nail Pigs in a Blanket, Pacifist pita chips and salsa, Sarsaparilla pulled pork sliders, Shomer Shabbus coleslaw and popcorn. The thematic desert will be Kahlua mousse with vodka syrup and whipped cream. Each guest will have the choice of one complimentary drink – White Russian or a pint of local craft beer.
