More foodies and film buffs across Canada and around the world will have the chance to experience the world’s largest food film festival with 13 satellite events confirmed this year, in addition to their renowned signature five-day festival that takes place annually in the fall in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. In total, Devour! expands in 2018 to include 14 year-round events.

From Fogo Island to Sonoma Valley, Berlin to the Bahamas, each mouth-watering event features a curated food-and-film pairing. Highlights of this year’s satellite events include:

  • Devour! alumni cooking in many locations including: Dominique Crenn, recognized as the world’s top female chef in 2016 by San Pellegrino’s World’s 50 Best Restaurants list and Devour! headliner that same year; Calgary Chefs Paul Rogalski from Rouge Restaurant and John Jackson and Connie DeSousa from Charcut Roast House; Dennis Prescott, one of the world’s most respected food photographers; Ali Hassan, CBC Host, comedian and chef, and many more. (See event details below for location details).
  • Actor Bill Pullman, who opened the marquee Festival in Wolfville, Nova Scotia in 2015, will host an exclusive Devour! event at his Los Angeles home.

  • Supported by Nova Scotia Business Inc. for the first time, six local companies will present their products to buyers, restauranteurs, chefs and media as part of a trade mission during the third annual A Taste of Devour! event at the Embassy of Canada during the Berlin International Film Festival.

“We are delighted by the exponential growth Devour! is having around the world. Through partnerships with some of the most amazing destination resorts and well-loved film festivals – and with Devour! alumni enthusiastically joining us in some of these locations – we’re able to grow with purpose and relevance into exciting corners of the globe,” Michael Howell, Executive Director, Devour!
