Cooking Master Class for Youth with the Nova Scotia Community College – ONLINE
Where
Under the guidance of instructors and students from prestigious culinary schools across Canada, local youth will learn the secrets of great dishes in this online workshop series. Each registration will include full recipes and a grocery and prep list.
Ticket Price: $10 online (includes recipe in advance); $25 for all three sessions; Recommended ages 10-17.
This workshop will be led by Chef Gary Chin who will be making a Butternut Squash & Ricotta Gnocchi.

Gary Chin
Gary Chin started his career in the restaurant industry over 25 years ago. His passion for cooking began with a keen interest in how cultures express themselves through the artistry, creativity, and precision of fine cuisine. Gary’s approach to lifelong learning started at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary Alberta, where he immersed himself in the culinary world through the cook apprenticeship program.
Gary has worked his way across Canada as a Chef and an Entrepreneur, which created the foundation for his desire to develop and mentor Nova Scotia’s next generation of chefs. His commitment to the development of chefs is reflected in his active participation with the Culinary Federation of Nova Scotia in the role of Treasurer.
Gary has been a faculty member for the Culinary Management program at Nova Scotia Community College’s Akerley campus since 2019, where he teaches second year culinary students culinary management and pastry skills.
