YOUR GUIDE TO DEVOUR! 2026
Come Hungry. Get Curious. Dive In.
Never been to Devour! The Food Film Fest? Wondering where to start, what to book, or how on earth you choose from 50 films and 60 events in one incredible week?
You’ve come to the right place.
Whether you want to spend an afternoon watching films, learn from a Michelin-starred chef, feast on Nova Scotia seafood, forage along the coast, dance until midnight—or do all of the above—there’s a Devour! experience for you.
From sea to screen to plate, Devour! The Food Film Fest returns October 19–25, 2026, in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
The world’s largest food film festival takes over this small university town in the heart of Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley for seven delicious days of food, film, music, wine, adventure and unforgettable experiences.
This year, Devour! The Sea dives into the people, places, cultures and flavours shaped by our oceans. With 50 films from 23 countries and 60 events, we’re travelling from the Arctic to the Pacific to the Atlantic—and bringing it all back to Wolfville.
Think lobster boats and bluefin tuna. Inuit food traditions and Michelin-starred cooking. Sustainable seafood and beachside foraging. Gala dinners, wine tastings, chef workshops, live music, parties and films that will change the way you think about what ends up on your plate.
And wait until you see who’s coming.
Emmy Award-winning director Pete Muller opens the Festival with Bucks Harbor, an extraordinary portrait of Maine lobster fishermen navigating masculinity, community and a changing way of life.
In the kitchen, we’re welcoming sustainable seafood champion Ned Bell; Michelin-starred Joël Watanabe of Vancouver’s Kissa Tanto and Bao Bei; PEI-born seafood entrepreneur Charlotte Langley, founder of Nice Cans; and Inuit Chef Ethan Angnatok from Northern Labrador.
They join an outstanding lineup of Atlantic Canadian chefs including Renée Lavallée, Martin Ruiz Salvador, Chris Aerni, Adam Loo, Ken Pittman, Stéphane Levac and Julien Rousseau.
Hungry yet? Here’s how to Devour!
Who is Devour! for?
You. Seriously.
Devour! isn’t an industry conference, and you don’t need to be a chef, filmmaker or food expert to join us.
If you love great movies, incredible food, live music, travel, wine, culture, meeting interesting people—or simply having a really good time, you’ll fit right in.
Come for one film. Spend a day. Make a weekend of it. Or go all-in for the entire Festival.
And getting here is easy: Wolfville is just one hour from Halifax, surrounded by vineyards, farms, orchards and some of Nova Scotia’s most spectacular scenery.
Where does it all happen?
For one week, Wolfville becomes Devour!
The Festival unfolds across town and throughout the surrounding countryside, with events at:
Devour! Studios – our 24,000-square-foot Festival headquarters at 360 Main Street
Al Whittle Theatre – our beloved downtown cinema
Denton Hall – home to special screenings and events
Wolfville Waterfront Park
Wolfville Farmers’ Market
Grand Pré Winery & Le Caveau Restaurant
…and special locations throughout the Annapolis Valley.
Part of the fun is moving between films, tastings, dinners, workshops and parties while discovering Wolfville along the way.
